SOURCING & SUPPLIER DUE DILIGENCE

Across borders.
Closer to
the source.

We help business buyers in Canada and the Gulf source products from China — and check suppliers before they commit.

What we do

Know who makes it
before you buy it.

A competitive quote is only the beginning. Understand the counterparty, compare the evidence and see what remains unresolved.

Supplier check

For buyers who already have a supplier and a quote.

We check public registration and licence records, compare the supplier’s documents with them, assess whether the company appears to manufacture or trade the product, and follow up on open questions. A site visit is included only if it is in the agreed scope.

DeliverablesA findings and evidence report, with each finding marked Evidenced, Claimed or Unresolved, and a next-steps note.

What you provide and limits — Supplier check
You provide
The supplier’s name and contact details, the quote and the documents you have received.
Not included
Product testing, legal or credit opinions, and guarantees about the supplier.

Samples & production follow-up

For buyers ready to place an order.

We coordinate and evaluate samples, support your negotiation, review the purchase order against the specification, follow the agreed production checkpoints, coordinate inspection and hand over to your freight forwarder and customs broker.

DeliverablesA sample evaluation record, a checkpoint log and a handover checklist.

What you provide and limits — Samples & production follow-up
You provide
Decisions at each stage, and your own freight forwarder and customs broker.
Not included
Freight, duties, product testing, certification, product liability and trade finance.

Inspection coordination

For buyers who already have a supplier and an order in production — on its own or within production follow-up.

We agree the inspection standard with you (for example, AQL sampling), brief a qualified third-party inspector and summarise the inspector’s report for you.

DeliverablesAn inspection brief and a summary of the inspection report.

What you provide and limits — Inspection coordination
You provide
The order details, the approved specification or sample, and the production schedule.
Not included
Certification and guarantees. Results describe only the goods sampled on the day of inspection.

Tailored sourcing engagements

When your requirement does not fit a single service, we agree a written scope that combines the stages you need. The work follows your requirements throughout.

We work for the buyer. Scope, deliverables and fees are agreed in writing before work starts.

Typical stages

  1. 01Discovery
  2. 02Specification
  3. 03Feasibility and research
  4. 04Shortlist and comparison
  5. 05Samples
  6. 06Production follow-up and inspection coordination
  7. 07Shipment handover coordination

Options

  • Factory visit support — you arrange your own travel and visas.
  • Trade-fair support, in person or remote.
  • Requirements documentation — specifications and packing requirements written up from your input.

Limits

  • No product development, engineering or design ownership.
  • No owned factories and no manufacturing.
  • We certify nothing and give no guarantees.

We coordinate with your freight forwarder and customs broker. Freight, duties, product testing and certification stay with you and the qualified providers you appoint. DTG is not the importer or exporter of record and does not issue certificates.

What an assessment can check

An illustrative checklist, tailored to the agreed scope. A site visit is scope-dependent; it is not automatically included.

Template only. No client or supplier data, completed findings or inspection results.

  • Publicly listed company registration and licence details
  • Whether the counterparty appears to manufacture or trade the product
  • Supplier documents compared with available public records
  • Questions that need further evidence or specialist review
EvidencedClaimed — not yet evidencedUnresolved

Verification supports a purchasing decision; it does not eliminate commercial risk. Product compliance testing, legal and credit opinions are outside this illustrative assessment.

How it works

Your requirements.
A shared plan.

We source to your specification — not from a catalogue.

  1. 01

    Define

Bring the product, intended use, destination, quantity and timing. A range or early idea is a useful starting point.

  2. 02

    Scope

We work for the buyer. Scope, deliverables and fees are agreed in writing before work begins.

  3. 03

    Investigate

Gather supplier information, compare options and identify questions that need more evidence.

  4. 04

    Decide

Review the findings and agree whether to proceed, investigate further or stop.

Use the address where you would like a reply.

Include the country code, for example +971 or +1.

Product, material, size or specification, and intended use. Two or three sentences is enough.

Where the goods will be delivered.

A range is fine, for example 300–500 units or two containers.
